Since accurate routing is about both precision adjustment and operator control, the Festool MFK 700 EQ delivers on both fronts. Both the vertical and horizontal bases included with this router offer integrated, ergonomic, guide handles that provide comfort and control while routing, and the router weighs just 4.2 pounds for reduced fatigue.

In addition, the MFK 700 EQ's micro-adjustment knob allows you to make incredibly fine 1/256-inch (1/10-millimeter) depth adjustments, and its dual locking knobs prevent movement once the depth has been set.

For added flexibility, the router can also be used with Festool's Parallel Edge Guide to create straight, accurate trenches and grooves (not included).

Base Plate and Threaded Insert
The wide Festool base plates on this router feature materials designed to glide easily, prevent scratches, and create a bearing surface that's both flat and stable--which adds up to improved control and more pristine work.

There's never any need to guess where the bit's center falls on your work piece, since MFK 700 EQ bases offer a center line indention on each side that provides for an accurate visual reference point. Plus, the vertical base included with this router features a threaded insert which accepts template guides for improved accuracy and versatility.

Different applications place different demands on your tools, and the MFK 700 EQ provides equally good results when working with a variety of materials thanks to its advanced MMC (multi-material control) electronics. It offers smooth, soft starts that won't harm your work surface, the ability to maintain constant spindle speeds under heavy loads, and variable speed control from 10,000 to 26,000 rpm. And its electronic system includes thermal protection and overload protection, extending the life of the router.

In addition, this router features a Plug-It power cord. This interchangeable cord design allows you to quickly switch between Festool tools without changing your entire setup.
