This Pro Starter Kit includes the Sculpting Tool (with 6 wires), Variable Heat Pro Power Station, an 85 minute Hot Wire Foam Factory DVD, and a sturdy carrying case. The Sculpting Tool features a switch in the handle to turn the tool on and off and six feet of cord. This is our most popular and versatile tool for freehand sculpting, carving, and scroll cutting. The arms pivot so the wire can be taut or looped outward. Making realistic hills and mountains has never been easier. Cuts foam like a hot knife through butter. Includes six (6) long-life 7" wires. This tool can only be used with the Pro Power Station. The tool case is large enough to accommodate all of our Pro tools and accessories. The 90 minute, region-free DVD shows you all the basics you need to get started immediately and make just about any shape imaginable out of polystyrene foam. Our Hot Wire tools work best on rigid polystyrene foams, also known as expanded polystyrene (also known as EPS, Styrofoam or bead-board foam) and extruded polystyrene foam (also known as XEPS or XPS or insulation foam). If you are unsure whether or not this tool will cut the foam you intend to cut, please contact us before buying. The Hot Wire tools will cut many kinds of foam, but always check with the foam manufacturer to make sure there are no health or safety hazards when using hot wire tools. NOTE: Polyurethane foam (aka upholstery/camera case foam) should not be cut with hot wire tools. It needs a ton of heat, gives off toxic fumes, and leaves a lot of melted plastic wherever it is cut. We recommend that the polyurethane foams only be cut with a blade or saw.
